I got an AMAZING surprise today!!!

Here he is guys! K's new horse and my replacement for Maggie. Thye aren't the greatest pictures since Monty wouldn't hold still and I couldn't get a goo angle facing away from the sun! Isn't he gorgeous!?!

And yes, we know he is very overweight, but Monty is on a special diet and is alreay losing weight from getting some exersize.

^I can't wait to see him without all his extra chub. My instructor said he rode him today and tried to get him to do some flying lead changes. He knows how to do them, and Monty tried his hardest, but he is so fat he can't do it. Monty has also won several Halter classes. When he loses his excess body weight, he is going to be one sexy gelding.

Don't panic about the weight. My former horse Nico was overweight when I bought him. Coincidentally, he was also a black QH. I bought him in February and by June he was in excellent shape. I rode him 3 sometimes 4 days a week working on the basics. The weight rolls right off of them when they are put back to work.

He sure is a cutie!

I'm sure by March he will be back to a more acceptable weight. His previous owners kept him stalled for a year feeding him too much hay and grain. He is already enjoying his new found freedom .
