We have all of the herd back together again & Hijinx LOVES "uncle Carl", one of my barrel horses (who is sadly not much taller than a 6.5 week old Thoroughbred colt...)

Wanna play, Uncle Carl?

I'm sure you want to play...

Look! I'm almost as tall as you!

C'mon! Play!

I can do this allllllllll day Uncle Carl...

The goats eat pine needles... hmmm...

Uncle Carl is a baby stealer! When Hijinx's older sister Tribulation was born (even though Carl was two fences away) I could NOT convince him to leave for a trail ride for ten days! He is very happy to be in with the babies now and he is rather thrilled that this one doesn't have a mother.

He is a looker! What color will he shed out to?

Good question :)
He is some sort of a palomino... and it looks like he'll be dark, maybe sooty or chocolate. I'm impatiently waiting for this baby fuzz to get lost!

Thanks! And yes! He just finished making three of them. We have fed round bales dumped on the ground under the thick pine trees for years but with the drought this year we've had to pre-purchase all of our hay in squares. So. As to not waste all of our limited squares the brats are being fed from feeders  I can e-mail you a couple of better pictures for reference, very handy.
