Because yesterday I decided with spring around the corner here in New Zealand, I'd trim her feathers and the beard growing under her chin. She was okay with that, and then I plaited her forelock for the first time ever. Needless to say when I was done, she was glaring and I was laughing so hard because she hates looking "like a girl" despite being one To top it off, I hurriedly plaited her tail (so it was quite a mess), put her in her bridle and let her out to take photos of her.
She actually got into it, after much coaxing to move instead of standing and looking pretty with her ears forward. She's generally a hard horse to capture on film with her ears forward, so it was nice to get the following photos of her...
I really need to attempt to trim and thin that mane out... I'm hoping to bribe my friend who does a MUCH better job to do so instead!
Clearly looking pretty is exhausting!
Thanks for taking a look!
