    Hooch and I

I know I havent been on often! But im trying to be around more now, things have been hectic lately. Our herd has changed around alot but I think we are finally at a solidified state with who is here is staying and we arent getting anymore.

For those of you that do know who I am, you may remember Hooch, my Donkey. And for those of you who I havent met yet, I got a free donkey a little over a year ago, he was a jack and quite ruthless, but we gelded him and have had time to work with him over the last few months, I know I told you guys I would teach him to ride, and I did! I took him on his first trail ride 2 weeks ago and he did fabulous, he didnt want to cross the creek at first, but we had someone on their horse pull him into the water, and once in he walked across it fine and never hesitated at any form of water again. Not even chest deep water. He also now lets me catch him easily, pick up his feet. So we are finally moving in the right direction!

    Ignore the hunting suit lol

I couldnt be happier with this little fellow!

    Trained
    How freaking adorable is he?!

Our local saddlebred farm has two mammoth jacks that are trained in hunters and western pleasure. They let kids who don't have horses borrow them sometimes for the schooling shows they host. It's so cute!

Oh yes I flipping ADORE him, he's just tooo perfect. Though everyone was giving me funny looks out on the trail, the only thing that is very different is his trot is short and choppy, but that's to be expected, however his walk is VERY slow so we were all the way in the back hahaha
