Horse Appreciation Day :D (9/17/11) [Picture heavy]

Every year the Pasadena Horse and Pony Association (PHPA) hosts Horse Appreciation Day at Dublin Farm. This year's HAD was dedicated to the BO who lost her long battle with breast cancer earlier this year. Mostly everyone wore pink to show their support to the family.

I'd thought I'd share some pictures!

There were pony rides, farrier demonstrations, jumping demos, dressage demos, western pleasure vs. english pleasure demos and a bunch more.

Me and Jordyn (reveriesgirly) participated in most of the events (even the western ones too haha!) and it was a blast. :) Me on Cowboy, and Jordyn on Kinbally. (Cowboy is the chestnut, and Kin is the dark bay)

Afterwards we went to my highschool, which is right across the street, and just galloped around the fields in the back, it was so fun..the last pictures of when Cowboy stopped and made me slide off lol, at a gallop mind you haha! (:

Enjoy!

Warming up!

Lol, I love making funny faces XD

Like I said in my first post, we lost Dublin's BO earlier this year. To wrap up this year's Horse Appreciation Day, Katie Holt, the new BO of Dublin, rode Mrs. Gail's horse as people took turns telling stories about her, it was a bittersweet moment, and may she rest in peace.

Gail bought Dublin about 14 yrs ago and when she met him, it was love at first sight. She named her farm after him. Katie soon began riding him and it was an instant connection too. Here are the pictures of the ending!
