Horse Photo Contest?

I'm thinking about entering Dover's photo contest and want some tips to really get the best photos I can in the next month or so, especially since I'll be wrapping her tail up soon. I could get my mom to hold Allegra for me or whatnot, I think I just need some ideas. But I do have some that I want to enter already. You can enter up to ten, so I'm going to make sure I watch how many I enter before I do a few "offical" photoshoots with her. It ends in November...

Yeah, that's one of my favorites. My friend was standing on the block and I made her wait so I could get the picture. ^___^

Dover Saddlery Photo Contest

I'm still learning about photography, but what my dad always says is that if it is really sunny the pictures won't turn out as well. You'll get the best pictures just before evening or anytime it isn't REALLY bright.

It's called "the Golden hour"

Dusk and dawn, when the sun is perpendicular to your horse.

I was thinking about getting out my dad's old, amazing camera and cleaning her up and heading out in the pasture just before evening to keep the sun away. The only problem is that it has been raining almost every evening here recently.
