When you take pictures of horses that aren't yours, should you ask permission from the owner first? or just snap the pictures and go on with life? I've always felt wierd on whether or not I was doing the right thing. My horses at home never seem to be doing anything wild to photograph, but my neighbors down the road have yearlings that are psycho, and I always pullover and snap pics of them playing. Am I supposed to go up to the house first? Or not? Any one care to give advice? Thank you.
If you are shooting from public land, you're good. If you're on private property, that's when you have to be concerned and ask permission.
At least that's how I understand it.
It's always great to ask permission first when possible though, especially with neighbors. Posted via Mobile Device
I would only be concerned if you were profiting from the sale of these pictures. If they are just for your personal entertainment and you are not trespassing, I wouldn't make a big deal out of it.
