Horse Tattoo

Hi,
I was thinking of gettig a tattoo of a horse running or grazing on my back. If you have any beautiful horse pictures (any horse breed or colour) I would appreciate you posting them. And I particularly love medicine hat paints so any photos ofthem would be so great.

Thankyou for your help

:)

MadeiraRox, ISAgirl wasn't asking for an opinion on whether or not she should get a tattoo. That's a personal choice.

ISAgirl, here's a link to the old sale page of a horse near me with a medicine hat:
Cardinal Ranch

He's really gorgeous and there are some awesome shots on there. You might find something you like.

Having multiple tattoos myself, let me give you a little advice.

White ink doesnt really last. So nix any idea where the tattoo will really need a lot of white.

Find something you like and hang it on the wall in your bedroom for 6-12 months. If you are still dead set on getting that tattoo'd on your body after that amount of time then go for it. But don't jump too soon into any particular design until you have lived with that design awhile.

Shop around. Go to several different tattoo parlors - ask to see their enclave, sterile needles and portfolio. Make sure its a reputable place. You don't wanta half-assed ink job on your body for the rest of your life.

Get it someplace that is easily covered by clothing. Keep in mind that although you and I have no issues with tattoos, some people do. And it CAN affect your future career.

Thanks for the advice Kim_angel,

I was told that white ink goes deeper in the skin so it hurts more. But that's all I was told, wether it's true or not I don't know.

I actually have had a few ideas for tattoos that I have kept for years but this one is a new one. I want it to try and cover this ugly patch of discoloured scaring on my lower back from a horse fall I had in January.

I like my idea but I want to find a tattoo artist who is good at drawing horses. I want it to look almost lifelike, not like a mule or something like that lol

Most the tattoos I want are smallish or are covered by clothes. One article in a magazine even said you could cover it with a waterproof concealor makeup. But I have no idea if that works.

Thanks for your advice, I'll deffinatly take it on board.

:)
