Im going to say they were about..15" wide and about 30" in length, almost 3ft. Yeah, they're grass hay. Im figuring about 50-70lbs per bale (a few were a little shorter/looser).
Edit-
Actually..the flatbed is 8' across and we fit 2 long ways and one down the center sideways. So maybe an inch or so over 3' in length. Posted via Mobile Device
Wowzers, that's cheap hay! Around here,we pay that for straw bedding..
Small squares of hay here are anywhere from $6 to $10 a bale. That's why I feed the big rounds, more work but cheaper..
I think we missed thw drought thay everyone else got..lol. Which Im glad about, if I can pay $3/bale I mayy be able to budget in a self care place. (:
I actually thought the normal price around here was about $5..but $2 less is lovely, lol. Now to work on the full time job and make up a new budget to include my pony. (: Posted via Mobile Device
I remember the old days where I had to get hay bales hauled over to us, and all the stacking involved. Not one of my fond memories. Looks like you should be set for a while there!
