After over a year of looking, I have finally found my second horse! Meet Robert T (barn name still undecided), a 2011 off the track Standardbred gelding. He was never raced as he was deemed to slow in time trials, and was sent straight to the meat man. Something about him just grabbed my attention and I couldn't stop thinking about him. So, after what seemed like the longest week and a half of questions and answers and more questions, and finally a vet check - I finally have a new boy!
He will be joining my handsome Morgan Hal, whom I've owned since he was a colt. Hal will be turning 20 this year. He taught be absolutely everything I know about horses, including why they are so special <3
Everyone who has handled him says he is a puppy dog I want to show him (hunter/jumper/eventer possibly). He doesn't actually arrive at my barn until next weekend, so it's going to be a long week!!
What a couple of beauties! And it's nice to see other people with mud monsters
