Icelandic horses

Hi hi,
Is somebody interest in Icelandic horses? I am riding them,and acctually I starting to like it:)maybe somebody knows about tolt,how to teach it?
so whrite me your thoughts about them..

I don't have one but I love them. I used to ride at a arena where there were Icies that just trotted up to you and you could pet them or brush em or they would hop in your trailer to meet your horse. They just kinda ran wild he had a good 100 or so. But you had to be careful beacause they carry a fungus that is dangerous but the icies are imunne to it... Any who very smart,cute and strong @(*o*)@

I have a Icey cross. The mare in my barn, I'll post pics tomorrow right now on the itouch so can't do much :P

Well I don't know so much about them also,i am just dressage girl and I moved here to iceland,and well for now I got one cute boy to ride,to learn him something of dressage:) so we will see what he can:) I will try to put photos later for you guys:) but acctually I don't know how to do it:)))well maybe I will find out:)

I know nothing about them but I know there are a couple members on here who either rides them regularly or owns a couple.

I don't think you can teach them the tolt. It's a gait they either have or they don't and it's a matter of you knowing how to ride it and asking for it.

my sister went to iceland with a group of her friends last year. She got to ride the ponies there. She had a good time. :)
