6 years. He turned 7 March 20th. I got him 8 months ago. I believe he started 30 times? But different sites say different things, one says 17. Oh well. But he had 2 wins, 4 second places, 2 thirds. He won over $19,000.

Gorgeous! You've done a great job transforming him into an athletic looking jumper! He looks like a heck of a horse, I'd love to see a video.
Was he simple to re-train? So cool that you have a video of him racing.

Thank you so much! He really is, and I'll make one up in a bit :). In the beginning he was a bit hard to control, just because he had absolutely no idea what the heck he was supposed to be doing, and he still gets fast sometimes, but he's a jumper. Which IS about speed.

I made the mistake of doing too much jumping with him too soon, which didn't help. But after we went back to just flat work for just about two months. He transformed into a completely different horse. Balanced, and staying the same speed. Once he figured out what I wanted him to do he reaaaaally leveled out. He's just such a willing horse with an amazing mind, very intelligent.

He has his playful days, but nothing bad.

It's hard not to love this horse, just the other day something totally clicked in his head and now he's got flying changes down like THAT.

NEVER underestimate an off the track thoroughbred. ;)
