    Introducing Alto! PIC HEAVY

Though I've owned him for almost a month now, I've been crazy busy with our first show and the end of the year exams and haven't introduced my new horse!
Meet Alto, or Get Rhythm (show name). He is a 5 year old JC registered Thoroughbred gelding. He has previous hunter training, and I am using him for huntseat and dressage (plus a small fence here and there!) and then really working on jumping next year. Come next fall or spring he will be put up for sale in time for me to go to college. Already I can feel myself missing him!

    First day at the barn

Trying out intro test B during lessons

    Float-y extended trot (:

Had to laugh at my face in this one- my 'concentrating on my dressage test' face

X: halt, hug your beautiful gelding!

First show, trotting down the rail! He was such a good boy, listened to me and was respectful in the ring!

Super extended trot! Haha, we were getting tired and throwing our legs out to keep going

About to go in the dressage ring- my mom is seriously the worst photographer even, but at least she tries- and once we got in, all the pictures were either blurry/fuzzy or parts of me (like my head) or Alto (like half of his body) were missing, and not in a good way.

The end to a long, successful first show for Alto & I, and hopefully an indicator of things to come!

Thanks guys! I am sooo happy to have him and feel like he was a bit of a bargain bin find- for his potential and what he could do in just the next year or two, he was cheap! (Not to my parents though!)

Thank you! It was funny, I thought I wanted a bright chestnut with tons of chrome, and instead, I ended up with a brown with no chrome at all!
Ah, well. I love him all the same.

Quick pic from Friday! We did a single vertical and a two stride. He was much better for the vertical, he was having issues figuring the distancing for the grid. In any case, I'm so happy with him!
