and Introducing... GRACIE (hubby's new horse)

Around Christmas, (3 wks or so?) after we got Chili, my hubby says: "I want one". I was kinda stunned bc he always said he hated how riding made his tummy feel (think roller coasters-he hates 'em). I think he just wanted to enjoy it with me....

So, he's been looking. Then, out of the blue, I contacted the lady who used to own Chili to see if she had any more horses for sale (quite a few horses for the small amount of land she had) and she did, so we went to look.

And came home with... Gracie. Who neck reins and moves slowly (what hubby wants!) and is dead broke/been raised with kids. She's 10 years old and I *think* she's too thin. But then, I'm comparing her to Chili... the tank.

Her feet need badly trimmed-farrier is coming out next week.

And just in case anyone else notices - that divet in her nose? I think it's from the hackamore/snaffle/mecate they use... any suggestions on why it would be so-diveted???

Unlike Chili, Gracie's head isn't always buried in the grass! Well, most of the time!

What a kind girl. Love the last photo with your daughter. I don't think she looks too thin, though a little more weight would be good. I think she looks like a nice horse for you hubby. Hope you guys have lots of fun riding together!

    Congratulations!
Now you and the hubby can ride together!
Mine does not get a lot of time to ride, but it is so much nicer when he can join me. Makes it that much more special.
(sorry if that sounded a bit sappy!)

I love her . She could use a bit of weight, but her confo looks amazing. I don't know how she got the divot in her nose, but I have a hard time seeing it anyway.

Congrats, she's lovely and sounds like a real sweetheart.

She looks like a sweet sister! I didnt' see the divet. She isn't really thin, just a gangly structure.

Cute girl! She looks due for a trim, and needs a bit more weight, but she looks nice and solid. Quarter horse?
