Introducing...my girls!

Howdy! I'm new here and I just thought I'd introduce you to my girls!

SA Zierra is a 14.3hh 10 year old chestnut Arabian mare. I've had her since she was born, and we've been through everything together - which has kind of made her a one woman horse! She's my life and soul. She's mostly my trail horse, but she's been trained to jump, and we've done Dressage. Next thing on the agenda is barrel racing! My main passion is endurance, but right when I finally got my horse trailer and my chance to finally compete, my little mare had a leg injury! So she's coming off that and we'll see how she holds up! Anyway - my Zierra poneh! These are all from 2009:

And this is Jezebel Jynx! I just purchased her about a month ago, so we're still learning the ropes with each other. Thus far, I've learned that she's been allowed to get away with murder her entire life, so this will be fun! Jynx is a 14.2hh 2 year old bay/black (we're not quite sure yet, LOl) tobiano Paint filly.

beautiful horses. Zierra is very compact, for an arab (dont mean that in a bad way) she has nice muscle, she is not a thin rail arab lol. Your paint has that look lol.

quarter horses.....simply the best

They are both lovely. I'd say your paint is piebald (black and white) because in the winter pictures, her markings look quite black. They say the way to tell if your horse is black is to look at the winter coat, as the summer coats tend to bleach out to a dark brown in the sun. :]

Thanks guys! And I fully agree - Jynx needs some weight. We had moved to this boarding facility (where I purchased her from the owner) and it was just...bad. We ended up moving back home in a month. All she did was tell us that OUR horses looked bad and underweight - meanwhile, Jynx was hers and this is what she looks like! I'm working on getting some more weight on her, as soon as she settles she's going out in the big pasture. My roommate somehow managed to get her god AWFUL feet trimmed without being killed (only half-killed) so I have a lot of work to do with her feet before our farrier comes out. As I said, she's been allowed to get away with murder, so this should be fun!

And yes, Zierra is a pretty solid girl Mostly Crabbet bloodlines, I prefer "chunkier" Arabs to "halter" Arabs. She's bred to work, not to stand around looking pretty! (Though I think she does that rather well to, heh heh).

EDIT = Oh, and I'm having a discussion on another forum, and I think we've come to the conclusion she's actually a black tovero. Heh heh, I'm not used to dealing with pinto patterns!
