    Introducing my horses, and myself.

    I just joined this board a few days ago, and I would like to introduce you to my horses.

    Here is Rosie, registered name Hankie Doc. Rosie is an AQHA mare, 15 years old.







    And here is Jedi. Jedi is a grade pony, 12.2 hands. He might be Hackney pony and Arab, but I really don't know. He has pretty big trot, though. I got Jedi as a companion for Rosie after my old horse, Chief, died. And as a pony for the grand kids, possibly.





    These are not current pictures, as you can tell. The horses look pretty scruffy right now....dirty, shedding....so I thought I'd put these up, until I get more current pictures.

    Wildrose, welcome! Beautiful bays! I have an AQHA bay, myself, as well as a 12 hand bay pony, but your pony has much more marvelous movement than mine. I agree that it looks like some hackney in there! Gorgeous!

    Welcome Wildrose. I've always loved Rosie, she's a gorgeous mare! Jedi sure is cute too and boy does he have some moves.

    Horsepoor, yes he really can trot out! He just powers along like a little freight train when he trots. He was advertised as gaited, and I did see what looked somewhat like a gate when the owner rode him for me. Kind of like a long running walk or something. But I haven't seen him do it for me yet. But, maybe he only does it when being ridden.

    I haven't ridden him much...just sat in the saddle which didn't fit him at all. He needs to lose weight so that the saddle I did buy for him might fit better. I'm guessing he was born in the spring. I got him in August of 2009 and was told he was 8.

    I have a fear of riding right now, so hopefully I can work on that. Rosie is so good, but my fear makes her nervous and it's a losing battle.

    He looks like he could go and go. Lol

    I understand having fear of riding. All it takes is one bad/semi-bad accident or injury to destroy a rider's confidence. Of course then the nervousness as you stated is read by the horse which in turn causes more problems. I completely understand. I hope you do overcome it. I'm sure you miss riding.
