Introducing: SCRIBBLES

I was in the market for a companion horse for Indie, and had been looking through craigslist for the better part of half a year... when a friend of mine shared a link to a skinny little filly titled only as a "shadow paint." Whelp, my boyfriend and I headed out to see her just a few days ago, and she turned out to be one of the skinniest horses I've personally seen in person (though her coloring throws it off, I can feel every rib and her hips quite well), infested with worms, and with just horrid feet that had been hacked away at Half out of pity, and the other half because my boyfriend fell madly in love with her, we took the skinny little filly home for $175 (not counting all the feed, supplies, and shots my boyfriend is spending on her), and today she now sits happily in my pasture as of this afternoon

SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, HERE IS SCRIBBLES! The itty bitty 3 year old Pintaloosa.

Yes, she is very skinny, and not the best put together... but we fell in love with her personality, and just didn't have the heart to leave her in the conditions she was in. I'll try to put up a progress report once she's looking her health again ;)

They're already buddies, and I'm so happy that Indie doesn't have to be alone anymore Pretty sure Scribbles here is pretty happy to finally have all the grass she'll ever want.

She is skinny, but w/that nice pasture she should recover nicely, being young & all. She'll be quite attractive once she's at a better weight. Try to keep a photo history if possible-the changes will be quick. She's at a good age to start her training-groundwork for now, & saddle work when she's better. Good luck to the both of you!

Sad thing is, the old owners were already riding this poor thing in her condition and her age. Apparently she was all the rage and they were throwing kids on her for trail rides She has deep thrush right now, and her feet have by some miracle stayed attached to her foot... so it'll be quite awhile before she's put into work. Once she's walking more comfortably, we'll probably just stick with her being ponied alongside Indie so she gets a feel for things as she recovers
