I went and rode Calvin on sunday and it did not go so good. Were both having a off day he would not even go and so I just got down after about a half hour of fighting with him. So I just got down and brushed him and just bonded just what we need. So here are some pics. Please be nice we are trying to get some muscle back on him and I am trying to lost weight.
I wouldn't have stopped, Fezick did that a couple times and it took a while but now he just knows I won't leave him alone till he goes. He looks a bit slim, is he utd on worming? I'd be a little worried about sores with the bones having too much contact with the saddle. He's cute though
I didn't see sores, I mean more along the lines of getting sores because he has very little fat to speak of to pad his bones. I'd be worried about the saddle creating sores. I'd work on putting more fat on before trying to work an already pretty slim horse. That's just my opinion.
Oh my goodness. He looks almost exactly like my boy Comanche. I have the exact same lime green halter I use on my bay. The only difference I see between our horses is that Calvin is a little bit darker and my boy Comanche has a snip of white on his nose!!!
Don't give in next time. Work until you've done what you've asked him to do. Next time it'll be much harder for you to push through him thinking he can get away with it. I might suggest more padding until you get more weight back on him.
