IT'S A FILLY! - Tralissa Andalusians

Well, I was right!

Fenda was waxed up yesterday morning and I said to my mum she's gonna go in the night.

We got the foaling stable ready today, finished everything around 10.
She gave birth at around 11:46PM.

We were pretty lucky.

Now her due date was supposed to be 27th of June, but she foaled early.

OR we got the date wrong, so we're going through every diary we own, it was back in July last year, I know that, we had the house fire and were living outside at the time, so yeah. Need to go through everything...

But, mother and baby are absolutely fine.

The baby neighed within 20 minutes after being born, and dude...

I'm so happy!

We should have been more prepared, completely paniced when I saw the sack on cam... Only just got the bloody cam on tonight too!

And she's been out for a few nights, it's madness.

She's drinking milk now too.

I watched the whole birth, so I'm happy!

She is a Purebred Andalusian, out of Fenda II and Puntal V.

But yeah, just need the spanish name, and I think it's between Allegra, Allegria, Atrevida (Named after Luca's mum) or Allexah (Which pretty much goes with Lexxi, lol)

I think we've gone with Allexah though :)

She will grey out too.

In no order, because I'm pretty tired right now...

And in other new's...

I have a possible buyer for Willow.

The guy that's cleaning the paddock right now, his brother breed's mini's and shetlands, and so he's asked for a price, so yeah, hopefully he'll be off our hands soon.

And so this time I think we're going to be looking for a gelding instead as a companion for Luca.

So cute. :)

It is not enough for a man to know how to ride; he must know how to fall.

Thanks guys

She's quite a big foal, and her mother is 15:3hh and her dad is 16:hh, so I suppose she'd go around that. Fenda's previous Filly (Who I also own) is over 15:hh at 3 years old already, so I'm hoping Lexxi will be quite big like Breeze too.

I'm not sure what we're doing with her yet, I suppose she will be sold, because we breed Andalusians, and obviously don't want to be keeping all offspring.

And if I do keep her, I'd more than probably use her for showing at BAPSH and for jumping. Not sure on the dressage yet, I havn't got the gut's, haha.

We have also decided to have her registered name as Alexiyah.
I really did like Allegra, but Alexiyah goes more with Lexxi, so...
And the woman who sort's out all the BAPSH registeries really loves it, so she will be called "Tralissa Alexiyah".

So that's pretty cool.

I don't have photo's of her mane and tail, but their just black, lol. She will definetly go grey.

I also have even more good news...

My dad bought 10+ Acres the other day!

So now we have over 16 Acres of land, which is now a huge weight off our shoulders.

We basically own all the land from our house up until a road which is over 20 minutes walk away, lol.

The place is huge, has planning for stables and stuff. There already were stables there, but the owners before us got annoyed because they got refused planning for a house on there, and decided to rip all the existing stables down just to annoy the next buyers. But it doesn't bother us.

So, all our facilities will now be down that end, and my mum will be keeping the stallions up this end.

So yeah, things are finally picking up after the fire.

Fenda will be put back in foal soon, they say 12 days after foaling is when you put them back in foal.

But we're undecided.

She's been having foals for a while and missed 2 years, but she's a brood mare, and so yeah.

We have a few people interested already, which is great.

And also, Breeze will be used for breeding once she's old enough.

Anyway, it was Lexxi's first day out the other day!

So lot's of photo's

First of all, I love this photo <3
