And more..

Wild pony races: three kids to a pony, catch'em,hang on,get someone on,and stay on for two bucks or a certain distance. Pony generally wins. :)

Wait for me!

Hang on to that wild thang!

Tug of war

Gravity can't keep her down!

Around we go..

Gotcha!

Yehaw!

Rid'em cowboy!

Dancing with calves:this little guy made an awesome rope on this calf in the tie down roping, but for the life of him he couldn't get the little bugger flipped! Probably because the calf is as big as he is..

Putting on the brakes

It's a really nice rodeo, very family oriented and fun,the stock and horses are well taken care of,just a good ol' small town rodeo. :)

The pictures are great!
Not sure I agree with the ponies. One, I wouldn't let my child handle an animal like that. Two, it makes me wonder what sort of life is left for them after...

Great shots though. I had a blast at the Sundre Pro rodeo. Rained like sieve, the poor bull riders landing in six feet of mud.

WS: We were blessed with wonderful weather for this one;usually it seems that if there's a rodeo,it's raining or just has, lol.

As for these particular ponies,I do know they are owned by an older lady who has a little herd of them, they're her little pasture puffs. She "volunteers" them for this rodeo, then they go back to her pasture til next year.
