I thought I posted this already, but I can't seem to find it now. Sorry if this ends up being a double post.
So Jade arrived in all her Goliath-ness yesterday. I don't get that she's 17.3hh, but she's 17hh anyway. Make's my little bossy Lisa look even more like a pony. Lisa sure is ticked she can't be boss anymore too! Jade has much to learn, but she's bright, curious and friendly. She especially needs to learn where to put those feet of hers (I wear steel-toe boots around her for now!)
Please excuse the absolutely awful me-look-alike in the photos. I'm only there for relative scale. I'm 5'9" plus riding heels of about 1-1/2".
So, here is little Lisa in all her awe-inspiring 14.3hh looking rather despondent:
And the newcomer to put Lisa in line... 5yrold Jade: [/img]
Hmmm... that was sort of the idea, actually! Lisa was too bossy for any body. This is the first horse that has stood up to her. I don't think either will be boss. They'll just learn to live with each other

Thanks. They do look awfully cute when Jade is on a hillock and Lisa isn't !! It was too funny this morning!
Well, first off -- manners! She's not bad, but much improvement needed before my 10yr old kid can lead her around!
Eventually -- just backyarding. I don't do anything else. All about fun with manners and control! She's never had a rider so it's a slow process. That's ok with me.
