He had gotten dehydrated and had to stay at the vets hooked up to I.v's and fluids :( but we get to take that ugly thing off today mwhahahaha

He's full Quarter Horse and I havent had time to measure him myself but he's probly alittle over 15hh

I'm new, so I may have missed something, if so please pardon. You mentioned he had become dehydrated. Poor boy. If the reason is because he isn't crazy about drinking water, you might want to try putting some ACV (apple cider vinegar) in the water. We have very hard water here, and it helps prevent bladder stones. It also helps repel flies - some - doesn't do wonders, but it helps! Also aids digestion, and makes the water taste good, so it encorages the horse to drink. I live in the desert, so it is important for Christy to drink water. It also slows the growth of alge in the water trough.

I put in 2 cups ACV into about 30 gal of water. Some people use more, I'm not after drowning her in it... LOL! I started with 1 cup for a week, then went to 2 cups. It takes about 6 weeks for it do make a difference in fly repelling... But it is hot here and only 1 fly was hanging around, not touching her though.

You probably already know this... But just in case you didn't , thought I'd share. :)
