She warmed up beautifully on Friday, went through both her Training Level tests flawlessly. On Saturday the weather was HORRENDOUS - cold and WINDY. Horses were acting up left right and centre! Not my Jynxy! Her and Kali slammed one out of the park with 70.7% doing Training Level Test 2 for their first test! We were only beaten by 0.01%!!! There were 5 horses in her class, all Warmbloods and Thoroughbreds! It was a personal best not only for Jynx, but for Kali as well! Their second test was right after and we took 1st place with 65.4%! The horse that previously beat her wasn't in this class, he didn't take below 70% the entire show and took Champion for their division. He's also been doing Training Level with his new owner for awhile and was previously an upper level horse and Hungarian Warmblood! So I think we can be happy with Reserve Champ!
Sunday was beautiful but unfortunately due to some very unforseen circumstances involving tack, they weren't as on their game as Saturday! Jynx was still a champ and pulled a 2nd place with 65% doing Training Level Test 2 and 3rd place with 66% doing Training Level Test 3! It's a shame that Bronze Level doesn't do Reserve Champ prizes because they would have won!
OH and Jynx also had to come back and carry Kali to a win for a scholarship equitation class when she was EXHAUSTED because the horse Kali was supposed to ride got a saddle sore. I was so proud of my girl!
Enjoy my TONS of pics and vids! Our next show is end of October, just an all around schooling show and we will be doing Dressage, hunters and jumpers!
Training Level Test 2 on Sunday with 65% and 2nd place - only mistake was right lead canter when some idiot was climbing in and out of their vehicle behind the bushes and spooked her!
Training Level Test 3 on Sunday with 66% and 3rd place -
And warmup pics on Friday!
She's come so far!
I remember when she used to careen around the ring out of control.....
Kali being presented with her scholarship. I actually got kicked out of this photo because they said it "had nothing to do with the horse." I almost grabbed her reins right there and marched my EXHAUSTED horse back to the barn! I held my tongue for Kali's sake.
LOL poor Kali is like "What?? No....come back......."
