Talking Keegan is home!

So yes, everyone on Keegan's facebook already knew! Today Emily and I went trail riding and she rode that big beast. He is...BIG. BIG BIG BIG.

We were going to do a photoshoot but it's too muddy AND there is a Friesian mare in heat at the farm and Keegan's mind is probably going to be on other things for a little while, and not concentrating on showing off for my camera!

But I did take a few photos of Keegan and Emily before our trail ride.

Emily is posing with a painting this AMAZING artist did of Keegan recently. I want you all to check out Kenna, and please beware. You may fall out of your chair when you see how amazing her art is. The painting of Keegan was for Emily's birthday and that's not till May. I've only had the painting since Saturday but it was burning a hole in my pocket and I HAD HAD HAD to give it to her. She LOVES it. I don't blame her, everyone I showed it off to at the Hoosier Horse Fair loved it.

Please take a few minutes to check out Kenna Al-Sayed's art. She is spectacular. She did that painting from a photo of Keegan I sent her online.

Here is her website.

Check this amazing chick out guys. She can do wonderful stuff with just a photo!

I did not get a good photo of this painting. Understand when I say this photo does it no justice! Of course if you've looked at her website you know what I mean!

Here is the photo that was used.

Now if ya'll are looking for a trainer, Agnes is the way to go!

This is Keegan in September 09 when he went to Chicago and the Noble Horse Theater. He was a typical gangly young Friesian. They don't mature till they are almost eight!

Here he is this weekend, April 10th before coming back to Indiana for a little while. He's matured into a strapping young lad!

This is him and Agnes his trainer.

And him and Emily and her husband Todd.

I didn't take those two photos, I was at the Hoosier Horse Fair.

Okay, now some photos of him and Emily from today!

He is BIG big BIG.

"It's all about me!"

Holy feathers!

One crummy iPhone photo of our trail ride today. Emily ahead of me on Keegan, me with the phone on Allard, ten year old Friesian gelding. We trail ride in STYLE!

Good night kisses! These two love each other!

All tucked in and ready for bed!

The end! For now!

If you haven't and you want to Keegan has a Facebook. He's a very technologically advanced Friesian!

Feel free to add him.

Please check out the fabulous artist I linked above the photos. Her stuff is just too fabulous to NOT look at people. She does commissions! Check her out!

Wow.....................just...................WOW !!

There is nothing more gorgeous than a big black horse that is slicked off and shiny.

Oh, yeah. Did I say wow?

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

It's called a running braid. It's really easy once you get the idea. This is a loose running braid since he is wearing it in the stall. The tight along the neck line running braids are not good to leave in for long periods of time but are great for shows. It's just like a french braid but off the side of the neck.

You could probably google or YouTube "Running Braid" because I am horrible at explaining things!

wow. He is one gorgeous horse!

There is one principle that should never be abandoned, namely, that the rider must first learn to control himself before he can control his horse. This is the basic, most important principle to be preserved in equitation - Alois Podhajsky
