Talking Lacey, a half-shorn Hazel, and Atticus!

So the goats and Lacey are finallyyyyy together! Yesterday they had their first day of being out pretty much all day and they did perfect! Today they're having their second day out, hopefully it'll go as well as yesterday!
Lacey's pretty much attached right on to them and they're behaving in a very herd-like manner (ie, they follow Lacey, Lacey follows them). It's really great.
I'm glad I finally took the advice of some people on here who had been telling me for forever to get L some goats!

I did get the goats each a bell so Lacey would be able to track them more easily and she pretty much immediately determined that bell=goat.
I'm really thrilled.

Yay for finally finding Lacey some long-term companions!!

Picture time! Yay!

First time really herding together...

I deep cleaned the tack room the other day and Atticus "helped" as goats are wont to do. He was probably the farthest thing from helpful, if I'm real with you... hahaha

Hazel, half-shorn and lookin' ridic'.

Lacey!

Me and Hazel, we're basically BFFs. :P

I just really like this one cuz Lacey's head has basically disappeared into the fogginess... :)

Sassy old lady:

{Disclaimer: these next couple shots are pretty much Lacey just doing different stuff in the same place - I couldn't decide which one I liked the best... hahaha}

Sassy, sassy. [she really wasn't mad...just making a weird face]

"Would you like to admire my jibbah and my luxurious mane? Of course you do!!"

She was so excited about going on a ride! It was foggy+misty out so her eyes were feeling good enough that she didn't want/need a flymask on. It had brightened up a bit by the time we got back and she was wishing for her mask but to start out, she was happy! :)

One of those fussy plants covered in mist...

Spider web!

Happy girl.

Fall is coming... O.o

And lastly, the goats -Hazel most notably- apparently hate being left behind. They basically chase me up to gate whenever I leave them, baahing ridiculously loud, and Lacey follows them because she has no idea what's going on. It's hilarious.

I hope you're all enjoying your days! :)

I just LOVE your updates, and with the goats it's even more fun!

Some nice photos that would make great postcards, But this one is just pitiful:

Can't tell if it's a goat or a dog, but either one would be ashamed to show it's face in public.

Hazel's certainly acting less hot! So that's good. I'm hoping to get her done the rest of the way tomorrow but we'll see, she will probably have an opinion.

Aw, I'm glad Caroline!
The goats really have livened things up here. And I just love that they aren't troublesome. I was really worried that they would be but they really aren't at all. Basically, they're sweet and funny at the core. It's the best.

And right? Haze looks sooo pathetic in that picture. Poor thing! I think she really likes being able to see better though - before her hair was kinda in the way. haha

Awww, how cute are those goats!? Lacey looks very content with her new "herd". Wonder if you can get the goats to come along with you and Lacey on your trail rides? Be funny if you could!

Atticus looks kind of like my goat Romeo. Bet he's quite the little terror, too!
