I try that, but when I stop her from moving forward, she will back up and circle/prance around and sidestep, and when I finally do get her to stop completely, she will rear up a little. She doesnt do it very often. Only when she doesnt get her way.

She looks so shiny! You two look like you had a great time. :]

As far as her prancing in place, try circling her, then asking for halt again. If she tries to prance/sidestep/back up, immediately circle her again.

Daisy does that to me constantly. She just needs to be reminded that I'm boss.

Another thing that works is making "her way" -- your way. If she backs up, ask her to back up, and keep backing her until you ask her to stop. If she tries to sidestep, make her side pass until you ask her to stop. If she prances, make her trot tight circles until you ask her to stop. And so on.

Anyway, great pics, you two are CUTE!

Thank you!! When we first got to the show, someone said that she looked like she just had a bath, or was really wet. Hah, I havent given her a bath in about 2 months - just been too cold out!

When she does act up, the tight circles are what I do most. They work for the most part. And doing it 'her way' where if she backs up, I back her up til I tell her to stop, ect. That works really well. Her expression immediately changes when I do that. She had a little thing that she used to do, whenever we would pick up a little speed, she would turn into the arena REALLY sharply and fast, as if to make me go one way, and her another. And Whenever she did it, I made her turn so fast in the direction she wanted to trun twards, and that worked amazingly! She doesnt do it anymore. Hah
