Little Feather -- dwarf mini

Today was Little Feather's thirteenth birthday! this may not sound like a big deal, but as a Diastrophiactic dwarf, Little Feather (or Fea as we call him) is well into his senior years. Fea was born at our Therapeudic Riding Center and will remain with us until the day he dies. He is a very special part of our therapy program and has taught countless children how to interact with horses, and helped them get over their fears!

Fea is severely deformed with back legs that almost touch eachother and an extreme overbite, even after surgery. He has never cantered and never will, but dispite all of this he is a very happy, good natured little guy, and he finds it quite fun to drag people across the pasture to get at a piece of grass! He attends the rodeo parade with us every year (getting to be the only horse who is allowed in the wagon ;D) as well as benefit events, hospitals, nursing homes, and our petting zoo!

So anyways, happy birthday to Fea! because if his extremely strict diet, we could not stuff him with treats, but he did get one oatmeal cookie and quite a bit of loving! ^^

Begging for just one more piece! XD

You're right. He's the highlight of the children's visits to the center. Dispite still being intact (due to medical reasons) he's the gentlest soul you'll ever meet. We all just love him to death. And believe me, he KNOWS he's the king of the world. Haha
