    As far as we know, he was 29 or 30. We had owned him for a year, after his last owner passed away. He had lived his whole life on a mountainside, pretty much as a pet, and survived everything from bear attacks to terrible founder and arthritis. He was such a sweetie, and my kids loved to groom and pet him, because he was always so greatful for the attention.
