What a day..up at the crack of dawn, well early anyway, got the trailer hitched up, breakfast eaten, then set off on our journey, got as far as the end of the driveway, and got stuck in a frozen snow drift. Eventually got a neighbour to come dig us out with his snow blower and tractor,
had to unhitch before we got her done, see the trailer here?
DH was having a complete melt down at this point "#*^*# horses" and wondering about the sanity of going to pick a horse up in this weather: A cold airmass and moderate northwest winds will combine to produce extreme wind chill values over most of Southern Saskatchewan until Monday afternoon. As of 3 PM CST, wind chills are in the minus 40 to minus 42 range over much of the region. Wind chills will remain in the minus 40 to minus 45 range overnight and Monday morning over most of Southern Saskatchewan.
At these extreme wind chill values frostbite on exposed skin may occur in less than 10 minutes.
