    Talking Meet the whole herd

Cross posting from another thread, where I introduced the Haflingers, I thought I'd share them and the non haffies as well

OK, pic overload, here are my guys,

    Alto, my Stallion

    Fancy, senior mare

    Destiny,

And Destiny with her baby Wombat

Elena, showing a touch of 'Haffytude'

    The yearlings Alfie and Prince

Stewie the Moose, half haffie, half moose,

And last and not least, the Harab

OK, I know you can't see him, but he is shy so isn't ready to face the world just yet

Then of course Big Bert, the love hate, relationship

And superstar Spotty man, Mr Appy Gilmore

They are all cute. I really like the stud though. Do you ride him too?

I have ridden him, which was a shock to his system, he was in his last home for 12 years and was never asked to do more than be pretty and serve mares

I really should ride him more, but there are so many to ride, I'm hoping to get some sort of covered area to ride in this winter, maybe, even if it is only big enough to walk and trot I could do more work with the babies and real greenies during the winter and have more riding time in the summer

    Alto under saddle

The worlds most difficult horse to fit a saddle to...I never did find a western to fit him properly, I'm hoping one of my, errrrr 7 (Where on earth did they all come from) English saddles will actually fit him

He's nice! So do you have breeding operation? We don't have too many haffies around here for some reason. Friend of mine re-trained one, and it was one of the quietest and laid back horses I've met (fat too :) ). They eventually sold him to the good home.

Our park ranger rides a Haffie. She must have a calm horse that will tolerate dogs and will stand while the ranger trims back trees and whatever she must do while keeping up the trails.

They do have that, so I have to cope with Haffytude, Appytude, Bert just has 'tude.

I'm so glad that I have Ace just to chill with, honestly she is so calm and sweet, I so hope that her baby is just like her in temperament
