*sorry for the novel*
I'm care leasing a friends mare and getting her back into shape. She's a 9-10 year old 14.3 hh Quarter horse/Paso fino. We're working on her english form and she's very responsive, great under saddle but an absolute bitch on the ground. On the lunge line she respects space, responds to voice commands, but just walking around on a leadline she's very high strung and pushy. She gets that way when she's had too much time off so she's under a strict manners make over right now. Lots of backing, waiting, standing, turning circles. She's starting to remember some of her manners. I let her out in the front pasture by herself earlier and snapped some pictures of her I thought I'd share. I've been her handler for schooling shows and training for the past 5 years along with the other horses I've worked with. The friend is a family friend who's pasture was sold out from underneath her (long story). She has room for one horse at her house down the street so I offered to take Mocha, the one I'm familiar with until she can find a self care facility she likes.
Anyway here's the pictures. My equipment is a bit dirty so the pictures aren't great great but I like them, I'll be taking my lenses and cameras in this week for a good cleaning.
