Its hard to tell with that fluffy coat but I think she does look quite lean and I wouldn't work her too hard until she's put weight back on
I'm also now unclear about the amount of hay - if all she has is 4 flakes and that keeps her with hay in front of her all day she might not be eating properly - worth getting her teeth checked
If your round pen is sand I would put the hay in nets with rubber mats underneath them to reduce risks of her ingesting sand when she eats the hay
Something like Triple Crown Safe Starch forage might work well for her if you can't provide extra hay - damp it down and feed from a large tub
I'm also confused - you need to add the amplify to some other feed - and if you're not feeding anything else than you'd do better to buy a quality complete feed than to spend money on a supplement

round pen was straw, finished her a nice stall attached a few days ago and now eats from a bucket over rubber mats, she was eating from a net. She has been vetted, it was suggested we got rice bran or amplify (said she would be fine on her schedule without, but I asked if there was a way to get her weight up faster). Says she is also fine to work. And has been picking up weight since we got her. Mind you, we have had her 3 weeks.

Maybe she'll be fine as she was if she was putting weight on - and if you're working her even lightly that will burn up some calories that she would otherwise be using for weight gain so it will slow down the process
- so you're adding the amplify to whatever it is that you feed her then?

the amplify is in addition to alfalfa and grass hay, she also gets some fresh grass when its not muddy out.

You need to mix the amplify in with some sort of feed - its not meant to be given on its own.
Its costing you about $40 for 32lb - a 50lb bag of complete horse feed that has the same things in it as Amplify plus vitamins, minerals & other foodstuff would only cost you around $20

Not only did the vet say to feed it straight, but so do the instructions on the bag... It was also a vet recommendation, therefore, I think I will stick with it rather than switching just because something is "cheaper". My thought is that generally things are cheaper for a reason. But thank you for your input.
