My dad's new pride and joy

Last fall my dad bought a haflinger cross, Barney, for driving and recently he put his skills to the test. As a kid, he and my grandpa logged with horses and he gets the urge now and then to do it again, I think. I went up to visit him and my mom a couple of weeks ago and he had to show him off to me. I was tickled to see him so proud, I just wanted to share.

In the last picture, that's my mom's little poodley dog following him.

Stella - sweet, timid, elegant, lovely, lively, amazing
Luna - large, unattractive, naughty, adored

What a great looking little guy! That's going to be one of my goals this summer, is to get a harness and train my girl to drive.

I've got a three year old haflinger/standardbred cross I've started in harness and am going to get serious with this summer.

Those photos sure put a smile on my face. Your dad and his pony both look like they are totally loving what they are doing. What a great pair!
