Soooooo I got to take Sunday out for a ride today in the snowyness! It was so much fun! I rode around our friends arena and then took her for a little walk/trot to the pond. My friend took a couple pics before she went back indoors so I thought I would share
Pose, not sure what my leg is doing so far forward  , but we also put the dressage saddle on Sunday!
I am originally from Sydney, Australia so this is rather exciting for me, alot of the snow had melted, this snow was from over a week ago but was quite safe footing, she didn't get any balls on her feet, she is barefoot and she didn't slip or put a foot wrong.
Cute pictures. Thanks for sharing. What kind of horse is PJ? He looks EXACTLY like another horse I know from another horse forum, his name is Parker. Same color, same fuzzy cuteness.
Haha it is so funny cause people even guys tell me Jon is so pretty but not to tell him. He is such a man though, he doesn't care what he looks like or who is looking!
And Jubilee PJ is an appaloosa as far as I know? In summer he gets fairly faint spots in his coat so maybe he is mixed with QH? I have no idea really and as far as I know his owner isn't 100% sure either.
I think it's mostly just his fuzzy face. The horse I know has a blaze a lot like his and is very fuzzy and about the same color. I think Parker is a TW though.
We had about a week of below freezing temps so the snow hasn't gone, and we got that snow/ice yesterday morning but it warmed up last night to 39F and today we are supposed to get a high of 38F.
It is so gross here, just slushyness during the day that melts and runs down our driveway and then freezes in the wee hours of the morning so our driveway is always a frozen block! Yuck. Hurry up and melt snow!!!
I kept thinking your Jon looked so familiar to me. I finally figured out he looks like the kid that played Timmy on the old '60's TV show Lassie. I'll find a photo and post it. Feel free to tease him about it.
Looked like fun! You look like you were excited! I've never ridden in snow, only when there was snow on the ground, but in an indoor area. The horse looks pretty relaxed! I like the Western bridle and English saddle too! My mom uses and English bridle and western saddle.
