My Lady and I...

Just figured I would post a few "new" pics of Ms. Flicka, and a few of us on our last ride...I really need to get a bigger english saddle, because I love riding english, just my saddle throws me off a bit! Satuday (the riding pics day) was one of those "oober scarey" type days too... in that it was super windy, leaves blowing everywhere, etc...but my girl was pretty well mannered, as usual, just a little more hyped up than normal.

Doing some lunge work on a hill near home...

Sending her across a fun little bridge in the park; the arena I ride in most is in a cute little park.

Waiting patiently for me to ask her to come across the ditch...

Really mom? Really?

Now for some highly embarrassing riding pics...Lol!!!

Haha...doing some flexing, and realized I pulled my leg quite far up, to keep from bumping her pink lil nose...look like a jockey!!! Hahahahaha

Thanks...she really is doing great...not many horses could handle riding through a busy town all the time, with barking dogs, noisy vehicles, underpasses, and such...but she does awesome! When we are at the arena, she is pretty much all business too...doesn't matter if there are other horses there or not, but that's kind of how she's always been, once I got her workin good last fall. It's hard to beleive I've had her for over a year now! Crazy how time flies!

They put a riding arena in the middle of a playground?
Flicka is very pretty and brave to work around a that monstrous playground equipment. ;)

Well it's one big park/recreation type place...there's a playground, a little bike/walking path, a baseball field and the arena...in other words speaking, lots of fun stuff to play on and around...hahaha.

The arena isn't in the "middle" of the park; the playground and walking path is on one side, the ballpark in the entire front of the park, and the arena is in the back of the ball park...

Thanks! Yes, I like all the 'fun' play things at the park...There is another arena place near me too, but there's not so many desensitization objects there, aside from some really fun wooden stairs that have pea gravel 'steps' making them PERFECT for a horse to go up and down....maybe I'll have to go there next time. Hahahaha

Yeah it is a good place to work. She has to ride through town to get to this place, so I think when we get here she's like "Ahhhhh...peace and quiet!!!" hahahaha
