My Little Cowboy (and Mellow, too).

My son Liam is a little over three months old, and my mom and I decided it was time for him to start riding :)

These are from last week, on a pony named Peanut (my mom owns, like, 18 ponies).

And now from today on Lil Bit (she's more of a mini than a pony). He actually grabbed her mane. There are a few other pictures, but as this was the only one I put on Facebook, this is all you get

Also, mom brought Mellow over and we did a pony exchange where my new horse Mellow got to come home to me where I could fatten him up with daily grain, and she took my little Duncan (eventually my son's pony) to work with him to be ridable. I don't think it'll take much-- we put a saddle on him (Duncan) for the first time today and he acted like it was nothing new. Any way, it was so stinkin' hot that I didn't get many pictures of Mellow, so I'll probably take more the next time I go out of him and Ginger.

Such a cute face! You can't see it here, but he's got blue eyes :)

And now the Masked Pony at his new home-- hopefully he'll keep this one on to protect his nose and face. He lost his last half- mask, but I think it was too big for him anyway. I can't wait to put more groceries in him (and I also can't wait for his mane to grow out some more.. he had a Mohawk when we got him)

Thanks for looking!

Left him with his fly mask on, and this is what I'm greeted with this morning. He hates that thing. But it's so good for his white face!!

Oh, and for those of you who might worry about holding a three month old on the back of a pony, no worries about these guys. Peanut and Lil Bit are about a dead broke as ponies can be-- we even took Lil Bit to a hospital in the city to visit with the sick children (twice). The first time she actually went inside the hospital, the second time we were out in the garden so the kids with wheel chairs and with a lot of hookups could come and see her too. It was pretty awesome.
