My New Boy.

So, we went and got my new boy Andy today, and I was a little disappointed to see his condition, but I did test ride him and for a four year old he is amazingly calm, even calmer than my current barrel horse, who is eight year's old and verryy broke. So, anywho, he obviously needs to be wormed, and needs a little work done on his feet. He is vet checked sound, and with a little polishing up he is going to be a great horse. He is rather short, and I hope that I don't outgrow him, but I am also hoping that because of his young age he will grow too. He is about 14.1-14.2 hands right now, so we shall see. I think he is so cute in the pasture because he literally will stand and stare for the longest time.

These aren't the best pictures, simply because I was in a hurry taking these. And like I stated earlier, I know about his current condition.

I wish I had more pictures, but I will get out tomorrow, clean him up a bit, and then get some better ones.

I think with some time to get in shape and after you give him some good care, he is gonna fill out and be a beautiful boy. Just by looking at him, he should bulk up some and even at 14.1, unless you are a giant, you shouldn't outgrow him.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

He has the sweetest face! He will definitely be stunning!

He looks very cute, and when he's all cleaned up and fat he's going to be gorgeous! What are you going to do with him?

Well, not sure yet. He is pretty much as broke as a four year old can be, so I'd like to start him out on trails a little more, and then see how he takes to barrels.

Oh yeah, and we changed his name, seeing as I have an uncle named Andy. We are now calling him Dakota.
