My new filly! Northern Lights FL (Aurora)

I just got this filly about a month ago, maybe a little more (I'm so bad at judging time.)

In any case, she was much more skinny. She has gained some weight, but she needs more. Her coat is very thick and long, so it gives the appearance of more weight than she actually has. I think her rate of gain is good though, and I hope she'll be up to a good condition in the next two months. I was upset to see her running around in knee deep mud with no food or water. I think she was definitely on her way to starving to death when I got her. The mud balls in her coat are so hard and stuck, that I doubt they'll come out until she sheds her coat, or I do a full body clip. She is a 1 1/2 years so she is sorta gangly looking still to top it off. Lol. But I love her. <3

She is 3/4 arab. Her mother was a National Show Horse, out of the arab stallion *Back Street. Her father is Northstar Tsultan, an arab who is a *Raffon grandson. She wasn't halter broke when we got her, so it took 2 hours to get her into the trailer, and 2 hours at home just to get a halter on her. After that, it only took a week of work to have her leading, tying, clipping, bathing, trailering, and working on a line. She is so sweet and smart and loves people!
