Yah that's all I'll have too.

I've heard the 50mm IS f1/8 (or something like that) is REALLY good too and its only $100.

WOW! What a looker! I love, love, love big horses - and 17.3hh would be a dream horse of mine!

I'm a fan of big horses too MIE (since I'm tall), but I'm always weary of joint issues, OCD, etc. But Big B (as I call him) wasn't started until he was five, which I'm very grateful for. He was last measured by his previous owner as 17.3 but everyone thinks he's 18 at least, but I think it's just because he's wide too - makes him look more imposing. He scares most people. But honestly he is the mellowest, well-behaved horse I've owned.

Thanks Charlicata! I'm super happy he's home (even if it means a smaller arena). He's in 'my' paddock right now, where my tiny writing studio is (yes, I built it in the paddock, much to everyone's dismay). So now during the day I get to watch him out the window while I write. I just have to be careful not to leave the door ajar, or he's bound to come in looking for treats. He did catch a glimpse of himself in the window and was quite enamored.
