My old girl

These are pics of my old girl Flame. She is 29 years old and this was after bath day and some clipping. I learned how to ride on this horse and she was and still is a great mare. Not great maybe in some people's worlds, but she's been the first horse and the first horse love of several young girls. She's still a sweetie and spends her days grazing the pasture flirting with her younger man (he's only 8 ). I don't ride her anymore due to some lameness issues, but she provides pony rides to all the kids. You can see in these pics that she's a bit of a butterball, but two years ago she was probably 200 pounds heavier... and its awfully hard to keep weight off a horse you can't really exercise That's alright though she's enjoying her retirement.

She is just beautiful! I love her, that is the sort of horse that I like to see around! She looks wonderful for her age. You see alot of horses around her age that are very skinny! She looks wonderful!

Thanks guys, I'm really lucky that she's an easy keeper. Actually my biggest problem is keeping her from ballooning out. Soda has been very helpful with that though, she follows him around the pasture and he doesn't let her steal his food.

Thanks! I showed my mom these pics today and she loved them. Flame is/was her horse until I pretty much took her over in my teenage years.
