I believe our horses choose us for a reason, to teach us - and I think it is great that you are taking this opportunity :) :) | Thank you very much. He's a lovely lovely horse and I adore him completely. This was an old thread, someone must have had to go through a few pages to find this to bump it back up haha! These pics are from late Jan. I believe Evo is my soulmate. He's hard work.. boy is he what, and I'm by far not the easiest person to haul about... I struggle with his trot, and will always probably never get him going as well as everyone else might, but what me and Evo lack physically, we both make up for with a lot of heart. He's the type of horse who forgives me easily. I'm a nervous rider, and he's an anxious horse so sometimes we aren't super connected (he zones out and I freak out haha)... but he puts up with me. He's pretty patient... I take awhile to find my balance in the trot and he's okay with that, he does his "barely trotting" trot (which if I could have it my way we'd do all day, its big enough for me lol) until I can find myself enough to drive him more forward. I've also got a bad thing for short reins... and balancing through my hands, which I was working on fixing before I fell off. So despite all the stuff we have against us, when we're going good, we're amazing. I was crying throughout the above ride... enjoying his trot for the first time, keeping myself upright and not on his neck, etc... mini miracles all the way through. We'll get there eventually x |
