Second time(picture posted) he spooked at a bag outside the arena and dropped his inside shoulder to spin and bolt to the other end....I somehow didn't whack my face into his neck and was able to sit and halt him and work through his "mom it's going eat us" phase lol we had a ver light springy trot and it was all I could do to keep him forward! Gah! Short little legs of mine!
So here is my "TAH-DAH!" photos
I feel good about these photos because, I'm looking up to where I am going, my heals if not down are at least not SCRUNCHING up and I'm not pinching with my knee but driving with my seat and pushing with my calfs not nagging with my heel! Whoo! My arms ate not locked, even if somewhat straight I was very relaxed in my shoulders and elbows and my horse is working through his hind end and you can see the beginning of his top line coming in :)
Shows me my hard work is paying off and I can only hope by the end of my physical therapy in two or so months mybhip will be more flexible and stronger. As of right now cause f my ride yesterday I'm sitting on the couchbin tons of pain that feels like a side ache....this is awesomely because my hips are so out of alignment and force my body to compensate to keep up with me.
No critique on me, but any suggestions for my little guy is welcome!
second time cantering in a months and half!
had him very forward and relaxed here! His canter felt huge
wasn't wanting to get to close to the rail but we powered on through it!
I know he's starting to go behind the bit and I was really trying to drive him forward but in the shot you can see the top line starting to come though in his neck and he really pushing through and up using hus back.
my little trooper! Good boy!
Oh and here is the epic spook picture hehe
