Yes I would say he's minimal tobiano, he'd have to be w/ his sire being homozygous. He's pretty borderline, I don't think the bucksin registry allows obvious pintos, but I think he's just minimal enough to qualify (I think so anyway, I'm pretty sure my mare qualifies). Not sure on pinto, not sure how much white they require. I remember a story once about a minimal tobi colt out of two homozygous Paints and APHA would only register him solid.

Wow, that sure is a beautiful horse. I really miss having such a nice one since my little Werner died last summer ;,,,(

However, it's a really healthy looking horse you've got there.

Haviris- Thanks, yea I have heard the thing about solid registry or breeding stock registered only. I suppose it doesnt REALLY matter! I am not heavy into any of the associations. Just curious what I have. He was such a suprise not being black and white that I was left pretty confused. Thanks for all your input!

P.S. Wesley gets gelded on Saturday...dunn dun dunnnn.... Anyone know if there is any truth to the old wives tale I keep hearing about colts growing more after they get gelded rather then if left studs?

Sixlets- I did not know that! It never occured to me to check the spelling. I am just thrilled that someone actually GOT it! I was racking my brain for names during foal watch. Happened to be watching Princess Bride, joked about calling it Wesley if it was a colt, with Dun As You Wish....paused the movie for a 9:00 check, and out he came! It just fit him and stuck. Thanks for the info though...not sure if I will change it. That's a dilema...
Haha, I love that movie! It doesn't make a huge difference with spelling though, since most people don't realize there's that "t" in there.
