New to the forums, trying to make some friends!

Hello there all(: I thought I'd find a new forum to make some new horsey friends on! This looks like a promising, decent group of people. I'm in Tacoma, WA if anybody is near me, let me know and maybe we can take a ride! I'm going to tell you a little about myself (:

I'm 18, and have been in love with horses my whole life. I started riding when I was 8yrs old, and could not get enough of it! I learned on a beautiful 13.3hh grey spanish mustang mare named Misty. She was 5yrs old when I started riding her. She sadly passed away to to colic 2 years ago (it was hard for all of us, many tears were shed over that great pony!). My father purchased me my first horse at age 11. His name was JJ, and he was a beautiful chestnut gelding with a white blaze and 3 socks. My father sold him only 6 months after we got him (my father has some SERIOUS issues, divorced parents, what can ya do :/). Anywho...my mother and I do horse rescue and one of the adoption horses returned from her home in February 2008, because they couldn't train her. They called her the "untouchable horse", even though when we went to pick her up Feb 5, 2008, I walked into the field, she came running up, shoved her face into that brand spankin' new halter, jumped right in the trailer by herself, and off we went. That mare's name, is Teega. She is my absolute pride and joy. After 5 months of vigorous groundwork, I started riding her. I have been the only one to train her and have trained her to where anybody can ride her, even little kids, and my beginner rider mom who had knee surgery last year. She's such an amazing horse and I can't believe I was lucky enough to come across this beautiful creature. We love to hit the trails for a leisurely ride, or tear up the arena on a gaming course. I've even done some english and jumping with her! She's a fat, sassy, happy little horse (: She's a beautiful paint standing at 15hh and is BUILT. She's a bay tobiano with big beautiful brown eye that make your heart MELT (: I'm going to put some pictures of her in here.

    Happy trails!

^^My beginner boyfriend (Whom I'm teaching to ride)brought her into a trot in the roundpen^^

^^The day after I got her, we had an INSTANT connection^^

Thank you! She's my baby alright! Got her when she was 13 UNBROKE! D: All she knew how to do was BUCK. So after 5 months of groundwork came the riding, and I've had her for almost 4 years now (: We've come a LONG way. I'm actually going to be gaming her on October 2nd!
