New horses who will be living on my farm. :D

After Junior finds a new home, my friend is going to move two of her horses to my farm. She is going to pay for all of their feed and care and I am going to take care of them in exchange for lessons.

This is Prince, a 16 year old German bred OTTB. His track name is First Service, he had 51 starts, 11 wins, 9 places, 4 shows, and won $101k on the track. He doesn't have the best hooves, but we are going to do everything we can to keep him barefoot and sound. He will be my new project. He is a bit strung out and needs work, but he is going to be such a great project for me. I'm super excited.

LOVE his neck and face, very handsome.

I adore those big brown eyes and how light his nose is compared to the rest of his coat.

My friend riding him at the lot. Bein' a good boy.

These are all older pictures, I won't have any current pictures until he gets here.

The pictures of the other horse will be in my next post. :)

This is Rose, a 14 year old reg. Arabian mare (Sweet Texas Tea). Completely sweetheart who loves kids and is so willing. She was a rescue as well. She may look a little thin in some of the pictures, but she has gained weight since then (I saw her just last week, and though she did have a hurt leg, she looked great). I might ride her a little and I am going to try to get my sister and mom to ride her a little too. My niece and my mom's boyfriend's daughter will ride her too. She is such a doll.

She would make a cute little 4-H horse, am I right?

She is up for adoption. She would make a wonderful kids horse. ;)

I know, I have never seen a horse that flea bitten. She is so adorable. :)

And yes monicadunlap, Prince is a bay. :) That is very exciting that you are looking at a horse, make sure and keep us updated on how that goes! Good luck with that.

I love tall horses, though riding a smaller horse is always a fun change. I love getting off of a tall horse after you are used to riding a shorter horse, the drop seems so long. Haha.

Now that I think about it, I don't know how tall Prince is.... he must be at least 16 hands. I'm hoping he is 16.1hh, that is the perfect height. LOL
