    New Mare Update

So Ohio has been home for 6 days now and she is looking a little bit better. I'm pretty happy with her progress actually.

She is in foal, so we are not sure how the poor foal is going to be, hopefully he is a healthy little one when he/she is born. She is pretty stiff from an old injury she had (stifle) she isn't really sore, just pretty stiff. We are going to try to give her some joint injections after she has the foal to see how it goes.

She's a real sweetheat and LOVES when the kids groom her and pamper her. Just stay AWAY when her grain comes out

We also had the farrier out to do her feet and they look alot better, however still have a long ways to go. The farrier said in six months we should have them looking as good as new! Thank goodness!

Anyways a picture of her the first day she was home:

And a couple from today, day six.

Wow, only 6 days? She is looking much better. I bet with some muscle and fat she will be absolutely stunning!
So, did you decide to name her Ohio or are you still thinking of names?

It's amazing what a few groceries will do, isn't it?

Wish her previous owners knew that...

She looks way better Tiffany! It's amazing how much of a difference you get in a few days. Looking forwards to seeing more pictures of her as she gains more weight. Will definitely have to take more pictures. When is the baby due again?

Thanks guys! Yep, no medication at all, just feed.

Kelly baby is due on the 5th, but I have a very strong feeling that I will be late. I'm thinking closer to the 13th. :)
