New Pony! Benny.

Soo, I finally got my sporting mare! Even though, I don't think any of you knew I was lookin' for one.

I traded her with AztecBaby, today! Her old 'Brandy' But I've been saying I'll call my next mare Benny. So that's who she is. And it's even close to Brandy. (Percheron, Giselle. )

Anyway. She's pretty amazing. I'm comfortable with her, and she seems pretty good with me.
I galloped her bareback after riding her three times. Which I don't normally even ride bareback until I've ridden them a ton. So I'm very happy with her.

I haven't measured her yet. But I'd say she's 14hh. A nine year old chestnut mare. We're not sure on her breed though. The farrier said she could be Arabian. The breeder the last owner had, said she was a QH.
She was used for mustering and some barrels last. Man she has awesome leg aids!
Anyway. To the photos. I gotta get some more, these are just ones from after I finished riding her. And it was gettin dark.
..I talk a lot.. And I'll get new photos of her being ridden when I get my brother to help. 'Cose I can't really take photos of myself. Yup.

The last photo is just 'cose it's prettty. She's in season, and that's the neighbours gelding. Man this camera hates low light.

EDIT:: Oh yea. What do you guys think of her breed so far? I'm going to get conformation photos of her, hopefully tomorra arve after work.

Nice! She almost reminds me of my mare. She's an arab. But your mare has a QH face. Could be Quarab?

Yea, I was startin' to think that. With her cute tiny rump. Though, there's a few non-dishy Arabs. She does have a dainty head. I really need better photos. XD

Ya if you get a close up on her head that would help. I don't think my arab has a dishy head and ya some of them don't have a dish head. Depends on their breeding. My arab is about 14hh also.

Hopefully in.. 10 hours I'll have new ones up. Depends on how I feel at 7am. XD
I love 14hh. It's a great height!

You two look great together. 14hh is nice for my as well. I am 5ft and fit my mare good. Can't wait to see more pics.

Thanks! That's what Mum was saying. And Dad reckons she's the right height for me. Which is what I've been telling him. And he kept asking what I wanted a pony for. XD
And.. I'm 5'5. XD She doesn't feel short when I'm on her though.

What are you going to use her for?

Next year I'm going to go back to Pony Club, and do sporting/Gymkhanas with her. But I'm waiting till the start of next year, to give us time to melt together. XD
And plus, a year membership for Pony Club, is the cost of a year, even if you join at the end of 2010, you gotta start again the start of 2011.
