I'm thinking he's a Percheron, really.
Shire's have more feathers, bigger heads, and more of a roman nose, right?

Love the name. My grandmother had a beloved chessie retriever once who was also named Gallahad.

He looks awfully like a Perch to me. I am guessing possibly a perch/shire cross, if not full Percheron. He is GORGEOUS.

Is gray a color that is common in shire horses? I don't know. He looks more like a percheron cross to me. Like maybe a cross with a smaller breed horse like QH or TB maybe. How tall is he?

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog:

I haven't measured him yet but if I had to guess I'd say he's around 17.2 hands

Could you please put some pics up of him moving, like walk trot and canter? Different breeds have different movement. From looking at him I'd say Percheron, Shire and TB or QH.
