What a cutie, looks like your doing great with him can't wait to see more updates of him in the future.
Just curious, are you just riding him in the western saddle but putting english training on him (you mentiond you wanted to do low level jumping etc with him) or are you putting western training on him aswell? i'm just curious

Thanks for the kandi comment!! <3 can't go a day without wearing it. Haha!!

right now i'm just putting basic training on him, not really directed at any certain style of riding. BUT i do plan on putting western training on him. i want him to appeal to a 4H type home, as he is really good with kids/beginners (though he is still green).

I guess th best way to describe what i'm TRYING to do is basic dressage. i think dressage is going to be more important than anything, especially with this guy. He has a wonderful body, just needs to figure out how to REALLY use it.

as soon as i get the money i'm going to have a chiro out to work on him. i am hoping that it will help his insanely high headset at the trot. it's not nearly as bad at the walk and canter. he will collect and engage at those two gaits, just not at the trot yet. :( hopefully i can figure something out soon!! cause his high headset is NOT fun to ride LOL.

he also rushes really badly at the trot, but yesterday when i rode him i got him going at a nice working trot without any change in pace for about 4 round around the arena... going our BAD direction. such a smart guy!! <3
