One of the most enjoyable rides I've ever had

Today I went to the stable to feed my horses. After they finished eating, I had a nice ride on my Haflinger. The sky was very blue and the weather was wonderful. Snow still covered all terrain but the temperature rose a little above freezing point. It was around 2 degrees centigrade at noon.
I enjoyed the natural scenes and was on the back of my horse for a long time.
I met a friend near hos farm and had a rest. I didn't tie my horse. He found some green grass and started grazing. As I went out I saw him galloping away so I had to walk all the way back to the stable But I also enjoyed the walk and was surprised to see my lovely horse waiting for me in front of the stable. I didn't get angry and I gave him a treat.
Then my friends came and I was able to get better photos. You know how difficult it is to take photos when you have a semi-professional camera with a long optical lens.

Beautiful photos. The snow looked wet. Did you have trouble with is packing and building up in the hooves?

It has never been a problem. I rode long distances for two days and didn't feel anything wrong with hooves. Maybe it is the kind of snow.
